I am so sorry that is has been so long since I have posted.

Between travel and work, I have NO time to do anything - even sleep.

I hope that you have patience with me. I hope to have a podcast up next weekend.

Thank you so much for all of your kind words!

Kate

This episode is filled with my personal commentary about the state of my world – from my eldest rushing to the ER with a high fever to my sewing machine breaking on me at the VERY end of my rag quilt. The up and down roller coaster of learning to quilt. Thank you so much for joining me! Katie

This podcast is filled with the places I have gone and the people that I have listened to. I talk about some of my favorite podcasts, my adventures in trying NOT to buy fabric, and how I traveled to Leavenworth, WA and fell in love with their quilt store. The link to that store is http://www.quiltersheaven.com/dees.html.

Thanks for bearing with me. I was so sick! And thank you so much for the supportive comments about the rag quilt. I have decided that "Finished is better than perfect" as Nonnie told me, and I am working on it. Now, if only I could get the colors the way I like them.....LOL.

Please excuse the kid noise in this podcast. The baby Banana was awake and demanding while I was recording it.

Have a wonderful day! Katie

GRRR! I am so frustrated with the rag quilt. Perhaps it is that my babies are home on spring break, or that I am sick...but I am just plain frustrated. Every time I sew my layers together, my fabric shifts an 1/8 of an inch. I have tried pinning and nothing works. I am also really....bored with it. Very repetitive stuff. But I promised my Pumpkin that I would get it done...and I will. *Sigh*

I also want to know - is there a color that you find you quilt with more than you thought you would? I have found that I have pink (duh...three girls, Katie) and neon green. I don't really enjoy either color...and yet I have a ton in my stash. How about you? Any color in your stash that just surprises you?

This episode I share the home stuff and babble a little about my "lifestyle change" as well as my resolution to not buy fabric until...gulp...July. Thank you so much for joining me.

Happy Quilting! Katie

In this podcast, I explain how I listened to a podcast from Quilting...for the Rest of Us that focused on Do-overs. The biggest issue that people had was being afraid to do something or make mistakes. I realized that I was the same. In this podcast, I explain where my fear comes from and how I hope to overcome it. I also talk about my progress and how I have many different projects going at once...and that is OK...because it is my hobby! Hehehehe. Thank you for joining me, in my quilting daydreams!

Have a wonderful day! Katie

Hello! This episode focuses on the troubles that I am having with math and quilting. My disappearing nine patch quilt hit a dramatic bump in the road when I ran out of fabric! Due mainly to a math error. I also address the fact that I am afraid of quilting things on my own, and that I need to work on overcoming my fear of making my quilts ugly. A lot of ramble...and I am overjoyed to be sharing my ideas. Please let me know what you think!
